Our Life Skills Boot Camp is a respite program coupled with a unique curriculum that will introduce students to important topics in the areas of
Attitude, communication skills, problem-solving, acting as a team player, self-confidence, ability to accept and learn from criticism, working well under pressure, and nutrition.
The class uses a variety of instructional techniques including video modeling, role-playing, visuals, and hands on learning. Each class will include a recreational activity as well!
WHO: Young Adults with any developmental disability that want to work and live in a community-based setting. Our typical participant is between the ages of 16-25.
WHEN: Spring 2020: January - April
Second and Fourth Thursday of the month from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
WHERE: Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin, 211 E. Franklin Street, Appleton
